Manual WBC Count/Wright-Stained Differential

Munson Healthcare Laboratories

Specimen must arrive within 8 hours of collection.

Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube or sterile syringe

Specimen Volume: 1 mL of synovial fluid

Transport Temperature: Ambient

Note: If crystal analysis is also desired, a separate plain, red-top tube is required.

WBC: <200 cells/mm³

Differential: <25% neutrophils
