Methodology
Direct and Indirect AgglutinationReflex Testing: If antibody screen is positive, then antibody identification and antigen typing will be performed. Antibody titer may be performed. If blood type is not in laboratory medical record, ABO and Rh typing will be performed.

Transport Temperature: Refrigerate
Collection Instructions: Patient must wear a hospital wristband. Verify patient identity using two identifiers prior to collection. Hand label specimen directly from patient’s hospital wristband using indelible black ink. Legibly write the patient’s full name and medical record number, collect date and time, and collector’s initials. Forward promptly.
