Specimen must arrive within 48 hours of draw.

Container/Tube: Lavender-top (EDTA) tube

Specimen Volume: 1 mL of EDTA whole blood

Transport Temperature: Refrigerate

Collection Instructions: Blood drawn at 6 to 8 hour intervals may be necessary to demonstrate infection. Forward promptly.
