Specimen Requirements

Specimen must arrive within 72 hours of draw.

 

Container/Tube: Gold-top serum gel tube

Specimen Volume: 1 mL of serum

Transport Temperature: Refrigerate

Collection Instructions: Draw blood in a gold-top serum tube from a fasting (preferred) patient.  Centrifuge within 2 hours of draw, then refrigerate. Forward promptly.

0-2 years: 327-1270 mg/dL

2-4 years: 468-1250 mg/dL

4-6 years: 532-1340 mg/dL

6-8 years: 454-1360 mg/dL

8-10 years: 568-1360 mg/dL

10-12years: 568-1490 mg/dL

12-14 years: 664-1490mg/dL

14-18 years: 550-1440 mg/dL

Adult (>18 years): 610-1616 mg/dL
