Specimen Handling/Transport:
- Separate serum from cells within 2 hours of collection
- Transport refrigerated
Specimen Stability/Storage:
8 hours ambient than 2 days refrigerated at 2C - 4C. Freeze at -20C if testing is delayed beyond 2 days.
Specimen Rejection Criteria:
- Hemolysis: No interference up to 10g/L hemoglobin
- Lipemia: No interference up to 1750 mg/dL triglyceride
- Icterus: No interference up to 30.0 mg/dL bilirubin
