Reflex testing: Specimens with positive results are forwarded to Mayo Medical Laboratories for the HVDIP (HIV-1 and HIV-2 Antibody Differentiation, Plasma) test and are billed separately.

Container/Tube: Dark Lavender top tube, 6 mL

Specimen Volume: 1 mL of EDTA plasma

Transport Temperature: Refrigerate

Collection Instructions: Forward promptly.
