Reflex Testing: Specimens with weakly positive or equivocal HCV antibody results are sent to Mayo Medical Laboratories for HCVQU, Hepatitis C Virus RNA Detection and Quantification by Real-Time RT-PCR, Serum, and are billed separately.

Specimen must arrive within 72 hours of draw.
Container/Tube: Gold-top serum gel tube
Specimen Volume: 2 mL of serum
Transport Temperature: Refrigerate
Collection Instructions: Forward promptly.
